VISITING adjunct PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH

The English Department at Union College invites applications for a full-time visiting position for the academic year 2023-24. The possibility of a second year is dependent on funding. Area of specialization is open, though we are particularly interested in candidates who can teach BIPOC literatures. The prosperous applicant should have a Ph.D. by September 1, 2023 as well as an established record of teaching excellence and a strong research program.
The teaching load at Union College is two courses per term over three 10-week trimesters. The candidate would be expected to offer courses including introductory English courses in fiction and/or poetry, intermediate electives in area of speciality, and a section of the college's first- year inquiry seminar.
