Job Title: Shipper & Receiver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shipper & Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, computer literacy, and general warehouse operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transaction of customer orders and maintaining quality control within our workflow.

Responsibilities

• Transact customer orders using both carrier and ERP systems.
• Provide quality control inspections, as necessary, within the workflow.
• Package and tape international shipments in multi-pack cartons for export.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
• Take an accurate inventory count at the end of each day.
• Serve as a back-up order picker as needed.
• Assemble cardboard cartons as needed for large, multipack shipments.
• Move prepared shipments from shipping cart to dock door as needed.
• Call and/or email forwarding companies to arrange pick-up.
• Consign shipments to forwarders and ensure the correct shipments are consigned by checking documents carefully.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain good communication and rapport with co-workers.
• Ensure the shipping area is kept organized and neat.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues on the shipping floor.

Work Environment

Work in the new Distribution Center located in Tigard, featuring a setup similar to a Costco. Use material handling equipment to stage orders for shipment. Day and Swing shifts are available at both Hunziker and Cascade locations, with varying shifts from Monday through Friday or Monday through Thursday. The environment is dynamic and requires attention to detail and collaboration with the Customer Service team to ensure accurate and timely shipping document completion.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.08 - $19.08/hr.
