Now Hiring: Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Location: Houston Area (Near Bush Airport)
Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour (based on experience) | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Night Shift | 2:45 PM – 3:45 AM (30-minute lunch, overtime as needed)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview:
Openwork is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturer to hire a dependable Material Handler / Forklift Operator . This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on warehouse work, value safety and organization, and are looking for long-term growth with a stable company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload containers and truckload shipments, including HVAC parts and systems
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, and organize materials
• Handle and transport materials throughout the warehouse to support workflow
• Tag and label parts and compressors per company standards
• Collaborate with logistics, sales, and service teams to support operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all safety regulations and warehouse procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience required
• Strong material handling experience in a warehouse setting
• Experience operating large forklifts preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
• Team-oriented with a positive and reliable work ethic
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

Work Environment & Requirements:

• Active warehouse setting with indoor and outdoor work
• Overtime as needed based on production demands
• Safety-toe shoes (steel or composite) required; additional PPE provided
