Roles & Responsibilities

• Performs dimensional inspections for all departments as needed.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
• Operates and properly maintains precision measuring equipment.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of dimensional discrepancies as they occur.
• Utilizes and understands blueprints and specifications as related to physical and dimensional properties.
• Performs process inspections in the molding area; performs molding related projects as necessary.
• Evaluates data and prepares necessary reports.
• Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Regulations.
• Programs automated measurement equipment to automate inspection routines where appropriate.

Experience Required

• Use of measurement tools
• Minimum of 1 year

Skills & Certifications

• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and interpretation of blueprints and specifications.
• Good interpersonal and written skills
• Knowledge of computers with ability to run software such as Windows based spreadsheets.
• Experience with measurement tools such as video measurement desirable.
• Ability to be trained in programming automated measurement equipment.

Eligibilities & qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. (if hired after 6/1/00) Internal transfers exempted. 
• Vocational/Technical School
