Integrated Business Planner

The Integrated Business Enablement Lead drives strategic clarity, alignment, and decision-readiness across R&D by translating long-range breeding and footprint strategies into actionable scenarios and value-focused business cases; The role ensures visibility into structural trends, anticipates risks and implications for pipeline and capability needs, and strengthens prioritization to accelerate impact; By integrating strategy, financial objectives, and operational insights, the role enables simplified planning, supports coherent long-range delivery across product and technical units, and equips leadership with the analyses and narratives needed for informed, forward-looking decisions.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Integrated Business Enablement Lead, are to:

• Develop and drive a 1-5+ year global long-range planning process for R&D pipeline demand OpEx and CapEx;

• Partner with Product Unit and Technical Teams to collect, analyze, and integrate data from diverse sources within the R&D pipeline to generate a holistic five-year demand plan optimized to deliver regional crop strategic business plans;

• Model plots, pots, SREs and align closely with R&D Operations to deliver clarity and transparency on year-over-year efficiency, ensuring resources are optimized for site and lab strategy;

• Steward and assist in prioritization of capital investments across global operational sites to focus resources in alignment with Breeding and Crop long-term strategy, ensuring the right capacity, at the right sites, at the right cost with freedom to operate;

• Participate in integrated business planning efforts, ensuring that R&D initiatives support overarching business outcomes and consolidated supply and demand forecasts for the current fiscal year;

• Ensure alignment of near-term forecasts with a singular, holistic long-term cross-site, cross-region testing and production demand (plots, pots, SREs, and lab/seed center capacity) and adjust the long-range plan year over year to reflect changing business needs, driving digitization and AI integration in this process;

• Engage, communicate, and ensure alignment and understanding within and outside of the Breeding organization, including PMD, EPT, Finance, R&D Operations, and partner functions such as Biotechnology, Regulatory, ARI, DSE, and Product Supply;

• Scope and assist in the development of advanced tracking and modeling tools for long-range planning optimization, maintaining dashboards and other visualization tools to provide real-time insights into pipeline health and performance metrics;

• Partner and engage with Home leads on resourcing and capability needs to enable successful outcomes.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

• Master's degree or higher in Business or a STEM field with 8+ years of industry experience;

• Strong finance acumen and the ability to connect strategic choices with OpEx and CapEx implications;

• Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated experience in data-driven planning, modeling, and scenario analysis;

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders;

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions in a global, highly matrixed, diverse, and fast-paced environment;

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with a track record of delivering results and driving continual improvement;

• Collaborative problem solver with a focus on building alignment, enabling informed decisions, and advancing long-range strategic objectives.
