Directional Driller / HDD Operator

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $30 - $45 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Directional Driller / HDD Operator:

• Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities (fiber optic conduit, telecom, etc.) while maintaining safety, accuracy, and production targets
• Operate HDD rigs (Vermeer, Ditch Witch, etc.)
• Execute bore plans and maintain proper drill path
• Work closely with locator to guide drill head
• Read and interpret utility locates and plans
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance
• Ensure safe jobsite operations and compliance
• Maintain production targets (footage per day)

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady  
• 3+ years HDD drilling experience
• Strong understanding of bore planning and steering
• Ability to work in varying soil conditions (including cobble)
• CDL preferred
• Strong communication with locator and crew
